Gum Disease Treatment
Dr. Hayashi will recommend a gum disease treatment plan based upon how advanced your gum disease is and how much damage has already been done. In the early stages, root planing and periodontal maintenance can arrest gum disease. Gum surgery may be recommended if the disease has progressed to periodontitis. In the advanced stages where bone and tooth loss has occurred, osseous (bone) surgery may be required.
Gum surgery may be necessary if your gums are receding, swollen or developing pockets. Dr. Hayashi may recommend laser gum surgery and uses WaterLase® technology for your comfort. In some cases, traditional gum surgery or tissue grafting may be needed.
